Driven by a passion for critical problem-solving, Matt finds pleasure in complex projects that require unconventional approaches. His professional portfolio includes a wide range of project types and scales ranging from small residential to large hotel/hospitality complexes.
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matt earned his Masters of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to establishing MoTiS with Jacob Morrison in 2017, he worked for Tao+Lee Associates in St. Louis, MO, Iconica in Madison, WI, and spent five years as a sole practitioner in Madison.
Matt shares a home in the Arboretum of Madison with his wife Laura and two sons. As a sauna enthusiast, he can often be found in his backyard sauna, searching for the perfect balance of steam and frigid cold. When not enjoying the Arboretum, Matt takes every opportunity to travel and soak in live music.
